Üks kolleeg külastas mind kord stuudios, kandes peopesadel laipa. Seal lebas surnud liblikas, mis oma värvikirevuselt ei jäänud alla ühelegi elavale kaaslasele. See liblikas oli pikka aega ainuke jäänus minu stuudioruumis. Tihti lasen sellel aknalaual vedeleda, vaadeldes ise, kuidas loojang taevasinisel taustal soojade toonidena kriiskab ja selle tiibadel mängleb.

A colleague once visited me in the studio, carrying a corpse in the palms of his hands. There was a dead butterfly lying there, which was not inferior to any of its living companions in its colorfulness. This butterfly was the only remnant in my studio space for a long time. I often let it float on the windowsill, watching how the sunset screeches in warm tones against the sky blue background and plays on its wings.
